Adelaide Salon/Drawing Project

This was a live performance piece that grew out of my other project, Flat B. I was invited by Adelaide Salon to perform my sleeping piece in a shop window in Brighton in December 2024. The work explores depression and mental illness, but also the idea that rest is necessary and acceptable.
For the performance, I inflated a bed in the shop window and placed a small lamp beside it. Throughout the piece, I drew directly onto the glass and the walls, gradually transforming the space around me.
Prior to this I set up my own studio in my living room and filmed me drawing all over the walls from a little bed.
