Wonky Workshop
MAKE YOUR OWN WEB SERIES
A FREE, hands-on creative workshop for people in and around Tottenham.
Love making things? Got a wild imagination? Fancy turning junk into something wonderfully weird?
Inspired by my lo-fi animation series Cats of Tottenham, this is your chance to dive into a world of wonky animation, bizarre characters and happy accidents.
You will learn some basic animation skills, script-writing and making use of recycled resource to unlock your creative potential.
This workshop is not live yet, please sign up to find out when it will begin!

These images capture a one-off session of Wonky Workshop: Make Your Own Mini Web Series, where participants were invited to create their own miniature versions of Cats of Tottenham. Working with recycled, discarded and second-hand materials, including cardboard, packaging, broken toys, charity shop finds and everyday junk, participants transformed objects that might otherwise have been thrown away into imaginative characters, props and sets.
From a participant’s point of view, the session was an opportunity to experiment, play and bring ideas to life using whatever materials were available. The workshop encouraged a hands-on, resourceful approach to making, showing how creativity doesn’t need to rely on expensive equipment or specialist materials.
Participants were also encouraged to explore stop-frame animation and simple, free editing apps on their mobile phones, discovering accessible ways to develop their own miniature web series. At its heart, Wonky Workshop celebrates experimentation, collaboration and the possibilities of making something unexpected out of the things we already have.
